Villa d'Annie is a comfortable holiday home located on a 1400 m2 property, approximately a 15-minute walk from the Provençal village of Rians. The beautiful area is known as Haut Var Verdon and is situated in Provence. This charming region is still relatively undiscovered by tourism, with picturesque villages nestled against the hills, known as Villages Perchés. The house (with air conditioning) has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and can accommodate up to 6 people. The stunning surroundings and your own private swimming pool make it an ideal vacation spot to enjoy all the goodness that Provence has to offer. Rians is about a 50-minute drive from the famous Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte Croix. The city of Aix en Provence can be reached in 40 minutes, and the Mediterranean Sea is just over an hour away. For hikers, there are endless beautiful hiking trails, including the Grande Randonée 99.
Arrangement
The house is entirely on one level (93 m2 of living space). There is a spacious living/dining room with a fully equipped modern open kitchen. Adjacent to the living room, there is a cozy covered terrace. In the beautiful garden, you will find your private swimming pool measuring 9 x 4 meters. The depth ranges from 0.50 m to 1.80 m. There are 3 bedrooms with double beds measuring 1.40 m in width. There is a large separate bathroom with an Italian shower, a bathtub, and two sinks. There is a separate toilet. Amenities include air conditioning, WIFI, TV (with Netflix), a dishwasher, a washing machine, an induction hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a refrigerator with a freezer, a Dolce Gusto and filter coffee machine, and a slide.
Surrounding
The village of Rians is located in a rolling Provençal hill landscape at the tip of Var where four departments intersect: Bouches du Rhone, Vaucluse, Alpes de Haute-Provence, and Var. In Rians, you will find 2 bakeries, a butcher, a supermarket, a doctor, a pharmacy, a dentist, a veterinarian, 2 cafes, and several restaurants. The impressive church of Maria of Nazareth in Rians is definitely worth a visit. Larger supermarkets can be found in Saint Maximin de la Baume (about a 20-minute drive). Here, there is a cozy Provençal market on Wednesday mornings. Restaurants in the immediate vicinity include Hostellerie de L'Esplanade and La Roquette in Rians, and La Bergerie in Ginasservis. In Varages, there is the local restaurant Le Provence. In the immediate surroundings of Rians, you will find a number of beautiful wineries that produce excellent and tasty wines. It is definitely worth a visit to see and taste them. Some of them include Chateau Vignelaure, Chateau Revelette, Domaine des Toulons, Domaine la Realtiere, Abbaye de St. Hilaire, Chapelle de Ste. Bacchi, Chateau Pigoudet, and Domaine Aix.
