Maison Baldi is a comfortable villa in a lovely spot, just a 15-minute walk from the picturesque Provençal village of Varages. This vacation home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and can accommodate up to 6 people. There is air conditioning in the living room. Your own private swimming pool, private jacuzzi, volleyball/badminton court, ping-pong table, and pétanque (boules) area make it a true holiday paradise. Varages is very centrally located for all the sights, such as the Gorges du Verdon (canoeing, rafting, surfing), the Mediterranean Sea, and the larger cities like Aix-en-Provence, Marseille, and Draguignan. In the immediate area there are many wine châteaux, charming markets, and beautiful golf courses.
Arrangement
The house is all on one level. There is a spacious, cosy living room with an open, fully equipped kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms with two single beds (which can be pushed together) and 1 bedroom with a double bed. There are 2 bathrooms with a shower. The living room has air conditioning. If you keep the bedroom doors open, it will stay comfortable there as well, even in the height of summer.
French doors open onto a large, partially covered terrace. Behind it is your swimming pool. The jacuzzi is located on the terrace. Behind the house there is a pétanque court. Beyond the pool is a small field with a net for playing volleyball or badminton. The ping-pong table is located at the side of the house.

The house is situated on a very large property where the owner has built 2 other houses. So there are neighbours, but you will still have complete privacy.
Surrounding
Varages is a small, typical Provençal village with about 100 inhabitants. It is known for its pottery factory (which also has a shop) and a pottery museum. There is a bakery, a butcher, a grocer/greengrocer, and a pharmacy. There are also two cafés, a pizzeria, and the restaurant La Provence, which is simple and delicious. The village has a tennis court that can be rented.
It is a 15-minute drive to the lively centre of the small town of Barjols. In this town you will find, in addition to bakeries, butchers, and a supermarket, several nice restaurants and terraces. Barjols is a town with a rich history and is known for its 42 fountains and 4 rivers. Its architecture has been shaped for centuries by all this water. Barjols is located about 55 km from Aix-en-Provence and 30 km from the Gorges du Verdon and the Lac de Sainte-Croix. The Mediterranean Sea is just over an hour’s drive away.
Nearby are the beautiful mountain ranges of Sainte-Baume and Sainte-Victoire. The highlights of Provence and the French Riviera—Saint-Tropez, Cassis, or the Luberon—are easily reachable for a day trip. The famous Gorges du Verdon (with beautiful hiking and climbing routes for sporty walkers and climbers) and the beautiful lake Lac de Sainte-Croix are about a 45-minute drive from the house. At the lake you can enjoy water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, and pedal boating. There are also several small, pleasant beaches.
An ideal holiday destination with nice eateries, beautiful golf courses (Golf de Barbaroux and Golf de Sainte-Baume), and hiking trails.
There are also lovely local markets in the area, in Aups, Villecroze, Salernes, and Cotignac.
Price
The rental prices below are per week for 2 people. For each additional person, €20 per stay must be paid.
In July and August, a minimum of 7 nights applies.
In other periods, a minimum of 2 nights applies.
Arrival and departure are possible on any day.
The rental price includes the costs for final cleaning, bed linen, and bath towels.
Electricity, water, and gas are also included.
Charging an electric car is not included.
One pet (dog) is allowed upon consultation. A supplement applies.
