This gîte (maximum 2 people) by Andre and Simone Bayol is very well maintained. It is within walking distance of Valensole, with its charming village square, cafés and terraces, and all the shops you need for your groceries. A perfect spot to enjoy all the good things that Provence has to offer. You can relax and immerse yourself in nature in the lavender fields, or use it as a base for exploring the many sights in the immediate area. Valensole is located in the heart of the Plateau de Valensole (an area known for its lavender fields) and is known as "the capital of the lavender region." The Southern French Alps are also easily accessible, with Digne-les-Bains just 45 minutes away. The lovely town of Manosque is 30 minutes away, and the famous mountain gorge, the Gorges du Verdon, is 60 km away.
Interior
In the living area, you will find two comfortable armchairs, a dining table, a sideboard, and a TV. The bedroom can be separated from the living room by a curtain. It features a comfortable double bed and a spacious wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower, sink, and separate toilet. Fresh bath linen is also provided. There is a separate, enclosed kitchen. Given that both owners have been professional chefs, you will notice the well-equipped kitchen. Everything you need is available to cook delicious meals and enjoy the sun-drenched French vegetables. The gîte also has its own private terrace, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxing.
André and Simone Bayol are the incredibly friendly owners of a large villa in Valensole, part of which has been converted into an independent gîte. The gîte is fully separated from the rest of the villa, with its own entrance, private terrace, parking space, and a beautiful, unobstructed view over Valensole. The property is peacefully located, far from main roads and/or busy traffic. As both owners have been chefs, you can clearly see their influence in the kitchen's design. Everything is provided to enjoy cooking and to savor the sun-kissed French produce. André and Simone are happy to offer you advice and information about local attractions and interesting excursions in the area.

Valensole is a commune in the French department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. The village has a population of approximately 2,500 inhabitants and is surrounded by lavender fields. Valensole is an ideal place to enjoy the peace and natural beauty of Provence. About a 30-minute drive from Valensole are the stunning Gorges du Verdon. Nearby towns such as Gréoux-les-Bains, Manosque, and Aix-en-Provence are also definitely worth a visit.
